Kudos to the great voice acting and the multi-cultural population reacting in different languages.Īgain, gameplay involves 3 main types which are shooting, fighting and driving. It's very cinematic, doesn't take itself seriously and comes with some silly, over-the-top set pieces with ridiculous but entertaining bossfights. Despite the dialogue and characters being cliche as all hell, the final conclusion came unexpected to my suprise. Once again we take the role of a cop that has the choice to give in to corruption or play by the rules, affecting the ending. There is an active day / night-cycle with changing weather and most buildings can only be entered during day time, adding to a more realistic setting. In fact, it's about the right size, packed with grocery stores, clothing shops, dojos, hotels and fastfood restaurants.
And although it is 'only' the Manhattan borough, it does not feel any smaller than the prequel's recreation of LA.
Only a handful of games could incorporate such an immersive adaption.
